Anzac House Hostel Canakkale

Opened in 1989, Anzac House Hostel was the first-ever Youth Hostel in Canakkale. Centrally located and very easy to find, Anzac House is just a minutes walk from the ferry port and close to the inter-regional bus station. This hostel is in an ideal position for exploring the 'university city's' many bars, restaurants and old town attractions.

Anzac House Hostel caters mostly for backpacker and budget travellers and offers basic but clean and convenient rooms and some of the cheapest rates in town. There is also a common space with board games, perfect for passing the evening if you don't fancy going out and great for meeting other guests. Quiet in the winter but full in the lead up to Anzac's day, this Anzac House boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere with helpful English speaking staff. Stay out as late as you like as Anzac House has 24-hour reception service.

Anzac House Hostel hosts an onsite cafe as well as a recommended travel agency, they can organise your trips to the Ancient City of Troy, Gallipoli Battlefields and trenches, WW1 monuments and shipwreck at Anzac Cove, at reasonable prices.

Since opening the Anzac House has grown and not offers a variety of private rooms and shared dorms. Choose from a single, double, twin, triple or quad private room with either shared or en suite bathroom. For budget travellers, there are 5 bed, 6 bed or 16 bed mixed dorms. All rooms provide towels, bed linen and blankets.

How to get to Anzac House Hostel

From the ferry terminal:
Walk straight out of ferry terminal onto the main road Cumhuriyet Caddesi. Anzac House is located 20 metres from the ferry terminal on the right-hand side of the road. It is the third building from the corner next to a pharmacy and exchange office and on the opposite side of the road to Halkbank.

From the bus station:
When exiting bus station turn left and walk 50 metres to the first set of traffic lights. Turn right at traffic lights and walk straight down the main road for 5 minutes. Anzac House is located at the very end of the main road Cumhuriyey Caddesi opposite Halkbank and next to an exchange office and pharmacy on the corner
