Agri
The city of Agri is a modern city, with the town centre being founded in 1860. The region was home to Kurdish population; however, these were small towns instead of the city founded by the Ottomans. While Agri city shares its name with the province it is also the most easterly province in Turkey bordering with Iran.
The region is seeing an increase in tourism trade thanks to the stunning Mount Ararat, and the proposed location that Noah’s ark Landed. Its traditional industry is Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, with the produce from this region being popular all across Turkey.
