The Ayder Highlands have been a relatively new addition to tourism destinations due to its publication in 1871 about the hot springs. The hills and mountains offer stunning evergreen forests, with breaks of spacious green pastures. Thanks to the thick forests to all beehives to grow on the trees in traditional hives producing Rhododendron honey, which is the speciality of the locals.
Locals commonly call Ayder 'yayla' which translates as plateau or pasture and is often compared to Alpine pastures for its beauty. This natural wonder draws many in to take hikes and take stunning photographs
