Civilisation Museum

The Civilisation Museum of Turkey was an idea born directly from Ataturk, who wished for a museum of the Hittite ear to be created allowing all to experience the history of the land. Since his death, the museum was built and expanded on, with exhibits that date back to pre-8000 BC.

These exhibits show the day to day items of the people and their evolution in the region of Asia minor to the point of the Lycian period as well as Ankara throughout the ages.
