Coruh Valley
The Coruh Valley is considered to be one an ecological zone by two separate organisations due to it being a biodiversity hotspot. The valley is considered important for plant life, bird species and other ecological ideals leading it to be a high priority protection area.
The Coruh River passes through this valley as well as crossing two countries, with a few of the provinces in Turkey having it pass through. Starting in the Mescit Mountains in north-east Turkey it flows through different cities and provinces before flowing into Georgia where it empties into the Black sea only a few kilometres north of the Turkish border.
