Great Mosque
This beautiful mosque is the architectural landmark of the Ottoman era. This mosque has a unique feature, a fountain within the prayer room. This fountain is important for both beauty as well as allowing for the Muslim wash before prayer, the taps set on the side allow for washing during cold seasons to be done inside making it easier for those who wish to pray.
This mosque has an unusual design of having 20 small domes and 1 large dome. The main dome has a skylight capping allowing for a soft light to spread into the main prayer room giving natural lighting. The decor of the mosque is both simple yet beautiful, with white walls all around but gold decorations. All around there is calligraphy that has been preserved from when it was created during the Ottoman period.
