Green Mausoleum

The Green Tomb is an unusual because of its stunning decoration both inside and out. The tomb has beautifully decorated tiles decorating inside and outside it.  Mehmed I was the fifth Ottoman Sultan and resides in the tomb. It was built by his son and successor Mehmed II who chose to decorate it more than most. Ideally placed to visit both the Green Mosque and Green Tomb are close to each other.
