Meteor Impact
Close to Mount Ararat is a large crater measuring 70 metres across. This crater was found by two physicists while studying Mount Ararat for both Armenia and the UK. Stumbled upon while walking during their studies they added it to their notes, eventually publishing their findings to attract further interest in the hope to be able to fully classify the crater.
After finding the crater there were stories of a natural object hitting the land in 1892, however, it has been found that the crater has evidence of volcanic activity which has led to it being deeper but not as open. The views of a less populated landscape with the towering mountain nearby is truly breathtaking.
