UCHISAR CASTLE - UCHISAR KALESI
Uchisar is in the Nevsehir Province of Turkey, 8 kilometres outside of Nevsehir. It’s a quieter location to base yourself when touring the Cappadocia region, being less dominated by tourists. There is a fortress in Uchisar, visible from far away, and is the towns main attraction. At the top of the fortress, there are amazing views of the town and surrounding areas. Uchisar is also a good place to begin walking tours, with its downhill direction and easy hike to Pigeon Valley, with myriad nesting holes carved to encourage birds to nest.
