Mount Ararat offers unparalleled views of snowy mountains. This area has a deep historical significance especially with those who have religious beliefe, as this is the supposed place that Noah or Nuh made land after the flood. A fascinating area to explore is Ani, this ancient town was originally a focus point for many empires which lead to it eventually abandonment. The ruins here have been preserved we with the exception of the Church of the Redeemer, which has been left after it was split open by lightning.
In the summer months, primarily June the Turkish Steepe, that surround Ani, are filled with wildflower. This amazing view can be compared to the painting of the landscape by a famous painting.
