Akyarlar is a peaceful coastal village on the southwestern tip of the Bodrum Peninsula, known for its clear waters, sandy beaches and beautiful views across to the Greek island of Kos. Its location makes it one of the closest points in Bodrum to Kos, with the island visible across the Aegean on clear days.

The area is particularly known for Karaincir Beach, with its shallow waters and golden sand, while nearby Aspat offers a more natural setting with ancient remains and scenic coastal views. Akyarlar is also popular for windsurfing and diving, and its western-facing position makes it a lovely spot to enjoy the sunset.
