Apollonia Ancient City is a historic Lycian settlement located near Kilicli Village, in the Kas district of Antalya. Built around a rocky hill, the ancient city offers an atmospheric glimpse into the Lycian past, with its ruins spread across a natural landscape overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The site is particularly notable for its Lycian sarcophagi, ancient city walls and remains of public buildings. Walking among the ruins provides a quieter archaeological experience away from the more frequently visited coastal attractions around Kas.
Apollonia can be combined with exploring the wider Kas and Kekova region, making it an interesting stop for travellers who want to discover the ancient Lycian heritage of the area while enjoying its rugged natural scenery.
