Bozukkale
Bozukkale is a sheltered bay on the southern coast of the Bozburun Peninsula, near Marmaris, and one of the most distinctive stops on a Blue Cruise. Its naturally protected harbour has been used by sailors since ancient times, giving the area an important maritime history.
The bay is home to the ancient city of Loryma, with its impressive fortress overlooking the entrance to the harbour. The well-preserved fortification stretches for around 120 metres and was built to protect the bay, offering beautiful views across the surrounding coastline. Today, Bozukkale remains a popular anchorage for yachts, with a few waterfront restaurants serving visiting boats.
