Pinara Ancient City
Pinara is an ancient Lycian city located near Minare Village in the Seydikemer region, around 40 km from Fethiye. Set among the mountains and forests of the Xanthos Valley, the site is particularly impressive for its hundreds of rock-cut tombs carved into the steep hillside.
The ancient city spreads across two acropolises and includes the remains of a theatre, agora, odeon, baths, temples and Lycian tombs. Its peaceful setting and relatively untouched atmosphere make Pinara an interesting stop for travellers exploring the ancient Lycian heritage around Fethiye.
