Selimiye

Selimiye is a peaceful coastal village on the Hisaronu Gulf, around 43 km from Marmaris. Its sheltered natural harbour has long made it a favourite stop for gulets and private yachts travelling along the Turquoise Coast, while the village itself remains known for its calm atmosphere, clear waters and small waterfront restaurants.

The area also has a fascinating ancient side. Known as Hydas in antiquity, Selimiye is surrounded by the remains of several ancient fortifications, as well as a watchtower, monastery and theatre. Today, the combination of quiet bays, traditional waterfront dining and ancient ruins makes Selimiye one of the most charming stops on a Marmaris Blue Cruise.
