Taksim street in Istanbul is famous for it's delicious dishes, and you can have it all with a street food tour. The tour will begin at the Istanbul Spice Bazaar where you will have breakfast and the opportunity to sample Turkish tea, cheeses, olives, honey, Turkish pastrami, and “borek”. Following this quintessential example of Turkish Breakfast, you will continue to gastronomical tour and sample other local delicacies which include soup, pita, and “kokorec” (sheep intestines), followed by Turkish delight and coffee.
With a satisfied stomach, the tour will continue to visit some interesting and beautiful architecture sights in the area, including Rustem Pasha Mosque and Suleymaniye Mosque, both designed by the great architect, Mimar Sinan.
The tour will end with a late lunch at an authentic Eastern Turkish restaurant where there will be even more new flavours introduced to your palate. This is a great way to get to know Istanbul and Turkey through taste. Be sure to wear your walking shoes as the best way to explore this area is on foot!
