The Princes' Islands are a cluster of 9 islands located just off the Asian coast of Istanbul. During the Byzantine and early Ottoman periods, princes were exiled to these islands, hence the unique name. There are 4 major islands that are inhabited, and the architecture and lifestyle here have left a lasting cultural legacy that is well worth a day of exploration.
