On this day trip from Ephesus, we will drive you to Pamukkale and the Ancient City of Hierapolis. The first time many people see Pamukkale they wonder if it is real or manmade but the landscape before you is 100% mother nature, far beneath the earth's crust, the thermal waters continuously make their way to the surface full of calcium they have been trickling their way down this mountainside for thousands of years maybe longer, creating the strange flat pools of water we see today, above the mighty slope stands the ancient city of Hierapolis and in a time before modern medicine people flocked here for the healing powers of the waters and stayed, gradually creating a vast and wealthy city, evidence of this is under every footstep you take.
