Today you will begin with a flight from Istanbul to the airport near the city of Kars in Eastern Turkey.

Your tour here will begin with lunch on Cildir lake, popular dish here is the Yellow Carp known as Sazan in Turkish. Following lunch, you will be able to enjoy the stunning natural landscape around with the stunning lake before you. In the wintertime, this destination is sought after for family fun in the snow, as in winter this landscape receives a blanket of snow creating a muffled land that is best enjoyed on a sledge. In this winter wonderland, the lake is frozen over, however, walking tours of the lakeside offer breathtaking views of a muffled and peaceful destination.

Tonight, you will return to Kars to your accommodation to relax in this ancient city.

Today you will begin with a journey to Ani following breakfast.

The Ancient city of Ani is approximately 45 km upon arrival you will begin a guided walk visiting some of the ancient buildings that stand in various states of survival. You will have time to explore and photograph the ruins that include; Halaskar Church, Pictorial Church, Great Cathedral and Ebul Menucehr Mosque.

After Ani you will return to Kars City centre, as you wander you will see some of the beautiful architecture that has survived and is still found around today. In the city centre, you will see the Alexander Nevsky Church (Fethiye Mosque), Cheltikov Hotel (Former Physician House), Russian Consulate, Revenue Office, Governor's Mansion. Your time exploring Kars you will see the Old Armenian Church, Evilya Mosque and Kars Castle where you will have time to take photos of these ancient buildings.

You will end your time here with a stunning lunch followed time at Kar's cheese markets where you will be able to sample traditional cheeses.

After your tour, you will transfer back to the airport where you will return to Istanbul.
